Our first trip to Belize {Miss March}

March 10, 2014

This warm weather seems to have turned everyone’s thoughts toward the beach, myself included. Just one problem…my husband generally dislikes the beach.

There is one exception, however. A few years ago, we took a trip with a few other friends to San Pedro, Belize, and lo and behold, he found a beach he loved. We went back this past year, this time taking the children along. I blogged about the second trip at Crumbs Under the Table (here and here).

It was the kids’ first plane ride. Here’s how that went:

It occurred to me, though, that I’ve never shared any of the photos I took from the first trip, so I thought I would do that today.

Enjoy! (And if you’re ever of the mind to take a trip to Belize, feel free to contact me with any questions!

Getting there:

To get to San Pedro, you must take either a boat or small plane from the mainland. We opted to fly both times, via Tropic Air. Generally these flights only have one pilot, and the copilot seat is thus a passenger seat. I had the good fortune of getting to sit there on the flight back to the mainland.
