Hi, y’all! It’s officially AUGUST and I just can’t even believe it. August 5th? REALLY!? It seems like yesterday I was still bundled up in sweaters and scarves looking forward to our early spring wedding day, and now here we are at the end (hey, I can hope, right?) of Summer. My, my, my. Time really does fly when you’re having fun, huh?
Maybe I should introduce myself?
I’m Nicole and I no longer have long hair like the above picture. I don’t have many selfies and this is the best I’ve got… I just happened to get a haircut in between then and now. And I really liked my short hair until seeing this. Dang.
Anyway, you can usually find me blogging about life and love and faith and puppies over at my little corner of the internet called bloom. Since my blog name basically covers this month’s theme, “bloom where you are planted” it only fit for me to be the featured blogger of the month! When I decided on the name “bloom”, I had no idea how much it would impact my life. “Blooming” is something that I’ve been doing a lot of lately in a lot of different areas of my life. I hope that you, too, have been blooming. Blooming into a more submissive wife, better friend, sweeter mother… whatever your situation might be. We’ve all got some blooming to do and I’m excited to talk to you this month about some different situations that I’ve been blooming in lately.
I’m just a newlywed of (almost) five months and a first year teacher. I can count on one hand how many days are left until I’m left alone in a classroom of second grade babies and I’d be telling a big, fat lie if I said I didn’t want to cry about it a little. A lot of life changes have come in 2013, but oh, how good they’ve been. My husband and I have two fur-babies that we probably love a little bit more than we should. We are part of a church plant that we love dearly and we’ve made friends that we’ll have for a lifetime. We like breakfast for dinner and Saturday mornings in bed. We’ve fallen in love with videography and we dream of having a business together one day. We love, we dream, we live. All because of God’s sweet grace. Oh, what an incredible work He’s been doing in us lately.
I can’t wait to tell you more. Until then, keep blooming where you are planted, ladies!
