Erin Rachel Photography

November 6, 2014

I thought it could be a fun idea to share some photographers around our state with y’all! For three Thursdays in November (starting today!), there will be a post on MSWB showcasing a wonderful, local-to-Mississippi photog! We’ll feature the southern, central, and northern parts of the state!

For the first week of the feature, I’m introducing you to a familiar face – Erin! Erin was the MSWB Blogger of the Month for August 2014.

1. What part of Mississippi are you from?
South Mississippi in the small town of Picayune, but you may have heard of us because of the infamous Paul’s Pastry Shop!

3. What’s your advice for someone about to have their pictures taken?
Be YOU!  Don’t get on Pinterest and try to look like someone else, be you and let your family shine with their own unique personality.  Get on Pinterest to be inspired by outfits or color schemes.
Mom’s don’t fret over every small thing with your family let them be kids!  Then lastly parents just keep smiling and looking at the photographer- if the photographer is doing their job they’ll get the kids to look at the camera!  There’s nothing worse than when the kids are cooperating, looking at me as the photographer and the parents are looking down trying to get the kids attention…we could have had the shot but “hey dad look at me, lets try that again!” 🙂

4. What’s your favorite non-photography past time?
Traveling!  I love travel that’s full of adventure and exploring new places!

5. What’s your favorite thing about Mississippi?
The people are friendly and full of southern hospitality!
