Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Hey ladies!

Hope you are all gearing up for a fun and festive Fall! I’m so thankful for jeans, scarves, FOOTBALL games (Go Rebs!) and all the lovely food that is included in my weight gain during the season!

In all honesty, some of my favorite foods are the simple recipes which I’ve enjoyed for years and years. My grandmother Patton, who passed away when I was 4 always had a Breakfast Casserole for my family on the major holidays and I love this tradition that my mama kept going even after her death.

Sorry for no pictures of this deliciousness. It’s a blogger fail MOMENT! 🙂

Breakfast Sausage Casserole

6 slices bread, torn into pieces
4 eggs, beaten ( I use 6)
1 tsp. salt, optional
1 lb. sausage, brown
1/4 c. cheese/grated
2 cups milk


Layer bread, sausage, and cheese. Combine eggs, salt, and milk; pour over bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes!

Serve to your happy guests!

This casserole is WONDERFUL served with blueberry muffins and coffee or milk. This has become such a sweet family tradition and I can’t wait to pass it along to my family one day!
